Science Blog
I liked what I saw at first glance.

Science and Sensibility

Okay I have to be completely honest here. I haven't checked this blog out very thoroughly. I have no idea of his take on creation. I have no idea what he links to... so, as with all websites, use with discretion.

Homeschool Laws For Your State
If you need to find out about the laws in your state for homeschooling your children here's a great website. Home School Legal Defense Association. Each state has rules and regulations. It's best to find out what the laws are in your state before you start homeschooling.

When I was homeschooling my children I kept a daily records in an microsoft excel spread sheet on the computer. At the end of each week I printed it out and filed it in a three ring binder. My binder has clear protective sheets I keep my records in. Even though I'm not homeschooling my kids now, I will keep the the binder on my bookshelf until my youngest son graduates from high school. I doubt it is necessary, but I have it just in case the state has any questions about his education up until he went into the public school system.

Love the New Browser
I downloaded the BETA Internet Explorer version 7 browser awhile back. I've been switching back and forth between using the new IE7, Firefox, & Netscape. I must say I love... love... LOVE it! It has the tabs like Netscape - Firefox. Love that! But it also has several security features I just love. Okay. Some say it slows down their browsing way too much. I haven't seen much of a slow down in my browsing. I really love this browser!

I've been a die-hard Netscape user for years. Every time they'd come out with a new updated version I'd have the disk shipped to the house... we were on dial up. Do you know how long it takes to download a browser on dial-up? OHmygoodness! I'd get about half way downloaded and someone would call and that would break my connection. For a years we had two phone lines so the broken connections weren't an issue anymore... but it was still dial-up! LOL!!

We live in the country... far far from town. I was constantly checking and waiting for DSL to make it out to our little neck of the woods. Finally... I think it's been about 18 months now we have had DSL. Now DSL and a great choice of browsers! AWESOME!
