Ingredients:
24 oz sour cream
1 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
1 package Ortega chipotle taco seasoning mix (dry)
a dash or two of cayenne pepper (to taste - optional)
OPTIONAL:
Shredded cheddar cheese to taste
Add a sprinkle of cayenne pepper to spice it up - this dip is good with or without the cayenne pepper.
We love this dip served with sweet potato tortilla chips. Some grocery stores stock these in the health food department.
Directions:
Mix the sour cream and the taco seasoning mix together.
Fold in the shredded pepper jack cheese.
This is where you would add in the cheddar cheese if you are using it.
Stir in the cayenne to taste. Easy on the cayenne... a little goes a long way and it seems to get spicier as the flavors blend in the refrigerator.
Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours before serving.
