I was emptying the dishwasher… that’s how it all started. I went to put away the salad bowl but there was no space for the salad bowl. The space for my crystal salad bowl was filled up with a stack of tupperware. I moved the tupperware and put the salad bowl away. But there was no space for the stack of tupperware… hmmmmmm!
My oh-so-organized kitchen was not so organized anymore. What happened when I wasn’t looking? When was I not looking???? How did this happen!
Well. Let me tell ya, it’s organized now! What a project! I emptied every single drawer, cupboard, and even the pantry is clean and neatly organized.

C & J called tonight. They are so cute! We can feel their joy and all that excitement bubbling through the phone. I’m so happy for them!

What a beautiful weekend it was! We got outside and enjoyed the sunshine. It was more of a working Saturday than a play day.
Sunday was not so good for me. I ended up staying home with a huge headache. I’m just glad the headache is gone and I’m back to doing whatever it is I do around here.

I’m not sure what our typical Saturday in January is like but I do know this was not it. Brandon, Taylor, and I just spent the day outside doing some fall clean-up. I know. It’s the middle of winter, you don’t need to point that out to me. LOL
Oh what a beautiful day it is! Sunshine on the hill!
The yard and deck is looking so much better! I couldn’t believe how awful it was. In our defense we were gone for a over a month during late summer. Then came fall…. I was out of town for a couple months. When I got home it was chaos getting ready for Christmas and New Years with less than two weeks to prepare. When we finally had the time to do anything we were in a deep freeze or under a layer of snow… I’m not that into cold weather activities. Besides, it all looked so pretty with a blanket of snow. As soon as the snow melted I was horrified to see how awful the yard looked.
Our deck was looking like the local dumping ground. Didn’t know what to do with something? Go ahead… leave it on the deck to take care of later. Our gorgeous 14′x35′ deck was feeling awfully small. Not to mention how gross it looked with all that junk.
It’s not beautiful yet, but we aren’t the neighborhood eyesore anymore
Not that the neighbors can see our yard anyway… but I can see it! I can appreciate the work we did today!
