Let me just say this first, I’m thankful my kids are all okay.
The boys stopped down near Olympia to pick up Billy and of course Brandon had to spend some time with Ashley. Brandon and Ashley were in her car and the boys were following them in Brandon’s truck. The deer jumped into the side of Ashley’s car. It was such a little deer it didn’t do much damage to the car. We can thank God it wasn’t a big deer.
I was just heart sick when they told me the baby deer jumped right into the side of the car and died on impact. The kids thought it broke it’s little neck. They said it was just a tiny little baby deer. Oh the sorrow the mommy must be feeling tonight.

I’m way ahead of the game this afternoon and it feels good! I had to be. The boys are taking off work early today so they can hit the road early. They were planning on getting on the road right after work, but then they would be in rush hour traffic from Seattle through Olympia. Now the plan is for them to come home, shower, eat dinner, then head on down the road.
Today I roasted whole chicken breasts in the oven. I bought a gigantic pack at a huge savings. They were at a huge savings because they were at the sell by date. I baked them until they were just done perfectly. Then I deboned them, tossed all the bones, skin, and the drippings from the pan along with carrots and onion into a pot and I have stock cooking. It smelled so good a few minutes ago I had to taste it. Yummy.
My father in law and mom came and visited a short while today. They didn’t stay long. FIL didn’t look well at all. Oh. Speaking of. Mom is back. She picked up T- from school and brought him home. She couldn’t resist buying more plants at the HS plant sale since they are marked down to half price now. I guess one can never have too many plants.
T- just came in the door. He says “Mmmmm! What’s for dinner?”. That’s a good sign dinner must smell yummy. I guess that’s my sign to log off…
