Whoo Hoo! Kiddo Kudos!

Posted in Family at 10:34 pm by Mrs. Mom

Mixed emotions here as I pass along kiddo kudos to T-man. Whoo Hoo! I am done with training kiddos how to drive!!! That’s right. I’ve taken six children out on the road for their first drives…. and I’m done with that part of parenting.

The mixed emotions come in as I realize my baby has just asked to borrow the car…

WARNING for Anyone With Children

Posted in Around The House at 9:57 am by Mrs. Mom

This is a warning about hand sanitizer. I bought some recently for our campout weekend. It smells sooooo yummy… I’m almost tempted to taste it. Well, I’m an adult, I know better than to taste everything now that I’m all grown up. But what about my grand-babies? Are they going to resist licking the sanitizer off their hand? After reading up on the dangers of hand sanitizer and the chance of poisoning, I’m not taking chances. This stuff is all locked up, and I won’t be using it on my grand-babies hands.

Before you decide if you want to have hand sanitizer in your house, go to the snopes site and read this article: Booze Ooze

Catch of the Day

Yesterday Aaron and Lisa had everyone over for a birthday party and fish fry/grill. Yeah, Sis Cindy celebrated a birthday this weekend! Connie and the girls were up for the weekend celebration too.

Aaron was out fishing on Saturday, so we had salmon on the grill and deep fried salmon. Mmmmmm… yummy! I’m not sure, but Merl may have contributed to the catch of the day too. He was up deep sea fishing in Canada recently. Anyway, there was plenty of salmon for everyone. Oh yeah, did I say fried salmon? Yeah! I know! Something so healthy… and we had it batter dipped and fried! So much for healthy lol Let me tell ya, it was really good!

Last Days of Summer ‘07

Posted in Family at 1:41 pm by Mrs. Mom

We are back home… we got home late last night. It was a wonderful weekend! We pulled into camp Friday afternoon, unpacked our bags, then went back to town to shop for groceries. When we got back to camp we settled into our room, then went out to visit for a few minutes before we crashed for the night.

Saturday morning baby boy came to visit us in our room.

From 2007 Labor Da…

I enjoy the meetings so much. The preaching, the singing, and the testimonies. Sunday’s meeting was awesome. There were so many testimonies… it was very encouraging. Several of the testimonies stand out in my mind, and I will draw encouragement from them for years to come. I love going to camp for the visiting… catching up with many of my oldest and dearest friends and meeting and getting to know people I’ve not met before.

The boys had a great time. I’m happy they have the opportunity to gather together with the other young kids… the opportunity to create bonding relationships that will last a lifetime. I feel very blessed we were there this weekend.

When we left Monday morning we headed out to Seaside. We found a hotel on the beach… the view from the room was awesome. Yes… blue skies! Kevin and I went for a walk on the beach and through town. It was gorgeous… and very warm. After spending most of the day on the beach, Kevin and I got home fairly late on tuesday night.

The weekend was completely wonderful and sort of sad all at the same time, as I realize, we really are into the last days of summer ‘07… school starts tomorrow.
