History Class Project
Imagine having a class project where your options were to write a paper about where our family was during the great depression, or create a scrapbook. I wasn’t too surprised when T-man chose to work on a family scrapbook album. We managed to locate several wonderful old photos of family. I scanned them, and had them printed at Walmart.
T-man’s project turned out absolutely beautifully. I’m really impressed with what he did. Apparently his teacher was too…
Here are a couple of pages of the album documenting the dust storm back in the 1930s.
The photos were taken my Great Uncle.
I have linked to the full album on my photo albums page - see the side bar of this blog for the link.

Wow! I love it, I’m going to look at the other blog to see the rest. What a neat project.

Looks interesting. I enjoy writing… But I also enjoy scrapbooking. I don’t know which I would have chosen.

Neena, it’s great you enjoy writing! I always have a lot to say, but my words aren’t always organized very well. LOL I think I probably would have chosen to do a scrapbook.
Gale, thanks! It was a fun project, gathering the photos and information. I was amazed when I saw the photos of the dust storm. I didn’t restore any of the photos before we had them printed. I think that might be my next project… ha! Like I have time for any more projects in my life.

It’s hard to imagine such terrible dust storms. They were called the “Dirty Thirties” for good reason!
