History Class Project

Imagine having a class project where your options were to write a paper about where our family was during the great depression, or create a scrapbook. I wasn’t too surprised when T-man chose to work on a family scrapbook album. We managed to locate several wonderful old photos of family. I scanned them, and had them printed at Walmart.

T-man’s project turned out absolutely beautifully. I’m really impressed with what he did. Apparently his teacher was too…

Here are a couple of pages of the album documenting the dust storm back in the 1930s.

The photos were taken my Great Uncle.

I have linked to the full album on my photo albums page - see the side bar of this blog for the link.

So this evening I’ve been sitting here watching scrapbooking on QVC. It’s the paper crafting fair… hours and hours of paper crafts. I’m not planning on purchasing a thing… but it’s amazing how many great ideas I get from watching the programs. Lisa Bearnson, with Creating Keepsakes Magazine, was on for 2 hours tonight! She’s an amazing crafter. I love her ideas. Almost as much as Anna Griffin. Oh… and guess what I’m planning on doing at 11:00 in the morning… Okay, I’ll just tell ya. Anna Griffin is on for a full hour! I luuuuuuuve everything she produces!  I’m excited. I know! I can’t hardly stand it! LOL  I gotta remind myself, I’m not purchasing anything.  I’m just getting more ideas…

I recently purchased Designer Scrapbooks With Anna Griffin - Memorable Moments Captured With Style. I love it! It’s a beautiful book. Of course, I love just about anything Anna Griffin! Anna’s style is Victorian Romance. Very feminine.
