"The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, nor the kindly
smile, nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that
someone else believes in him and is willing to trust him with his friendship."
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson ~
Friendship Is a Blessing
Friendship is a blessing
it's the best you have to share,
The talents and the wisdom,
the capacity to care...
It's being there to lend support,
whatever needs arise,
It's making sure that others know
they're special in your eyes...
Friendship is a blessing,
and, to all who have a friend,
It's one of the most precious gifts
that life could ever send.

The Glory of Friendship

This is home. Well... the red car isn't 'home' lol It was suppose to be hauled off a few years ago. I guess since we can't see it from the house we sort of forget it's there.
Anyway... the field isn't ours. The trees are ours. When we moved here over 25 years ago this was a cow pasture. Then it was a horse pasture. It was the best place to go sledding! Just look at it... and it's really a long hill. I think it looks sort of scrunched up in the photo.
Anyway... I took this photo because this summer they will start building several homes in the cow pasture.
I'm sad. We won't really be able to see the homes from our house because of our trees... but it still puts the neighbors too close if you ask me.
I use to love walking the neighborhood... pure country.
Everett, Washington. This park over looks the navy base. This is my favorite place to take a walk. Especially in the spring when the trees are all in bloom.
I love this old milk stand. It's been in my wild garden for years. This year I think the cold weather got to the little plants. Hopefully the warm weather will snap them out of their funk.
It could be called Spring Rain 2006. On Saturday it rained from the time we got there until a few minutes after we were in the car leaving for the day.
That's okay. Our kids love playing in the rain.
The kids had a great time and our team did great. I know they were hoping to come in first again...
